Fallen Fruit. Gouache, watercolor, ink, acrylic, and pencil on paper mounted on canvas. 90 x 100 cm, 2015/2016. (SOLD)
When I painted Fallen Fruit I began using layers of white. Under these layers you can still se details shine through. That was a great turning point for me and my painting technique, also a first step to use some more white in my paintings which has opened up a whole new world for me.
This painting is a part one of my Tutti Frutti Paintings. The Tutti Frutti Paintings all consists of what I see as an explosion of colors and patterns. I want these paintings to be a bit hard to take in at the first glance. The point is to get to know or understand the painting and then be able to also see the structure in it. All chaos also consists of harmony.
